Mindless Self-Indulgence was an eight-track demo album recorded by Jimmy Urine and his brother, Markus, in 1995. The album and Mindless Self-Indulgence have nothing to do with Mindless Self Indulgence, this project was only Jimmy Urine and Markus Euringer (Jimmy took the name Mindless Self-Indulgence directly for his band, which we all know now as "Mindless Self Indulgence"). The album was mostly Industrial genre-wise, with a Techno-Punk genre that Mindless Self Indulgence have nowadays. Each song was around four-five minutes long each, whereas several tracks found on Crappy Little Demo and Tight were clocked at around three minutes or shorter.

In "Bed of Roses", Steve, Righ? infact plays guitar in the song, this was the first time that he worked with Jimmy Urine.

The album's label was Chip Records, and the artwork was done by Kitty. It was limited to about 300 copies, and never officially released or available for commercial sale. However, every now and then, a copy will find its way onto Ebay for astronomical asking prices, often $500 or more. It is one of the most expensive and highly sought after CD in music sales history.

This album also has its own promo cassingle tagging along with it, that being the incredibly rare "Do Unto Others (Part II) / Bed Of Roses" promo cassingle, there are only 50 existing copies of this cassingle in the world.

Trivia[]

  • Jimmy Urine on the self-titled album: "Just some old-ass freshness of me trying to sound like Nine Inch Nails along with a pointless clean version and an extended track to piss people off".
  • With the current situation revolving around Jimmy Urine, this album cover has been mentioned, with it having what looks like - a woman with a mechanical arm molesting a small girl (you are able to guess its a small girl from the teddy bear she is carrying, and the pigtails in her hair, making her look quite child-like), lifting up her skirt and showing a "Panty Shot".
